ORF, broadcaster from Austria, has anounced last year in September that Conchita Wurst will represent Austria this year in Copenhagen. Today the long waited song from Conchita premiered this morning and the Austrian entry will be 'Rise Like A Phoenix'. The song was written by Charly Mason, Joey Patulka, Ali Zuckowski and Julian Maas. Watch the official video below:
Tom Neuwirth, Conchtia's real name, reached in 'Starmania' (casting show) second place in 2006, after Nadine Beiler. Nadine Beiler represented Austria in 2011 in Düsseldorf with her song 'The Secret Is Love', but only reached 18th place in the final. Conchita reached second place in the national preselection in Austria in 2012 with the song 'That's What I Am' and was with 49 % very close to win. First place that year got Trackshittaz with the song 'Woki mit deim Popo', but they failed in the Semi-Final.
This year Conchita is back in Eurovision with the song 'Rise Like A Phoenix'. Conchita will perform on 8th of May in the second Semi-Final in the first half.
