RUSSIA: Tolmachevy Twins for Copenhagen


Anastasiya and Maria, who already took home an ESC-Throphy (Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2006) are back in the ESC Competition now waving the Russian Flag in Copennhagen this year with their performance and the song "Shine", which is by the way the same titel form last years entry of Austria. 



The Twins, born on the 14th of January 1997, were in early ages already in contact with music. The mother of the young women is a music teacher and so they both had the oportunity to get lesson in a music studio called Sverchok. In the age of nine participate at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Bucharest (2006) and won the competition with their song Vesennij Jazz (The Spring Jazz).

In 2007 they released their album Polovinki (The Halves). As the Eurovision Song Contest took place in Moscow 2009 the participate in the opening Ceremony when the landed on stage like angels on the firebird. 


Now they are back on stage and back in the competition. What do you think. Will be the next Eurovision Song Contest back in Russia?
