Malta: Result Semi-Final "MESC 2016"

The semi-final of the Maltese national selection "MESC 2016" took place yesterday in the MCC in Valletta. 20 songs were performed by 19 artists. At the end made it 14 songs out of them to the national final, which takes place tonight.

  13. Danica Muscat - "Frontline" (eliminated)
  14. Christabelle - "Kingdom"
  15. Franklin - "Little Love"

  17. Ira Losco - "That’s Why I Love You" (eliminated)
  18. Lawrence Gray - "You’re Beautiful"
  19. Maxine - "Young Love"
  20. Deborah C - "All Around the World"
It was an entertaining show with mixed music styles, hosted by Ben Camille. Amber, who represented Malta 2015 in Vienna with "Warrior", opened the evening with her Eurovision entry. Till the announcement of the qualified songs we have seen The Crowns and The New Victorians as interval acts.

The voting was made by a five members jury and as 6th member were the televotes. Jury members were Nick Clark-Lowes, Viara Ankova, Sabrija Vulic, Luke Fisher and Quinton Scerri (Jury Chairman).

Amber represented Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna with her song "Warrior", but failed to qualify to the Eurovision final.

The winner of "MESC 2016" will be honoured to represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Sweden. Who will participate in one of the Semi-Finals on 10th or 12th of May 2016 in Stockholm? Stay tuned..
