Moldova: Result "O Melodie Pentru Europa 2016" - Semi-Final 1

The first Semi-Final of the Moldovian national selection "O Melodie Pentru Europa 2016" took place yesterday with a line-up of 12 competing contestants. Eight of them got the ticket to the national final on 27th February 2016. The show was hosted by Gloria Gorceag and Sergiu Bezniţchi.

  7. Valentin Uzun - "Mine"
  8. Chriss Jeff - "Good Life"
  9. DoReDoS - "FunnyFolk"
  10. Viola - "In The Name Of Love"
  11. Maxim Zavidia - "La La Love"
  12. PRIZA - "Rewind"
The winners were chosen by a mix of jury and televotes. Only the last place were chosen by the televotes only. It was given to Emilia Russu and the song "I Am Not The Same". The second Semi-Final takes place already tomorrow with 12 more hopefuls.

  • 10.12.2015 - Jury song selection
  • 19.12.2015 - Live auditions; 24 songs will be selected
  • 23.02.2016 - Semi-Final 1
  • 25.02.2016 - Semi-Final 2
  • 27.02.2016 - National Final

Eduard Romanyuta won "O Melodie Pentru Europa 2015" with "I Want Your Love" and represented Moldova at the 60th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna this year, but he failed to qualify to the Eurovision final.

The winner of "O Melodie Pentru Europa 2016" will be honoured to represent Moldova in the first half of the first Semi-Final on 10th May 2016 in Sockholm. Who will represent Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Sweden? Stay tuned..
