Australia: SBS confirmed Dami Im!

Australian broadcaster SBS announced today who will represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm. As already rumoured the last days, it's confirmed now - Dami Im is chosen to represent Australia in Eurovision 2016.
"I am so thrilled and honoured to be representing Australia at Eurovision this year in Stockholm. I am really excited to be following in the footsteps of Guy Sebastian and Jessica Mauboy who have both graced the Eurovision stage before me. I truly believe that the Australian public and Eurovision fans around the world are going to love the song I will be performing in Sweden. I cannot wait to showcase it to the world and represent Australia to the best of my ability!" said Dami Im.
Dani Im was announced by Conchita Wurst, who have won the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with "Rise Like A Phoenix" and Guy Sebastian, who wrote history last year for Australia. He was the first time ever contestant who represented Australia in Eurovision. Very successful he ended on 5th place in the Grand Final with "Tonight Again".
"We are delighted to be invited to Sweden, and we feel we couldn't have a stronger competitor. Dami has huge musical talent, and her story is like a modern Australian fairy-tale. I expect Eurovision 2016 to be a thrilling, page-turning chapter for her, and for Eurovision fans.Dami's voice is so powerful and she has a distinctive style that I expect will capture the attention of Europe. I encourage our Eurovision fans across the nation and Europe to really get behind her, and to become the Dami army!" said Paul Clarke (Australian Head of Delegation)
Dami Im is a 27 years old singer and songwriter who's born in South Korea. She won 2013 the 5th season of "The X-Factor Australia" and since than she is very successful. 2014 she was nominated for four World Music Awards.

The song presentation of Dami Im's Eurovision entry is scheduled for 11th March 2016.

Dami Im is honored to represent Australia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm. She will participate in the first half of the second Semi-Final on 12th May 2016 in Stockholm. Will she make it to the Grand Final?
