Romania: Six qualifieres for "Selecţia Naţională" final!

The Romanian Semi-Final of ""Selecţia Naţională" took place this night in Baia Mare There were 12 contestants in the battle to get one of six tickets for the national final, which takes place on Sunday, 6th March 2016. The show was hosted by Cornel Ilie, Ioana Voicu & Jo.

One of the finalists from tonights show is Mihai Traistariu, who already represented Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with "Tornero". 

"Selecţia Naţională 2016"

  • 18.01. - 07.02.2016: Song Submission
  • 04.03.2016: Semi-Final
  • 06.03.2016: National Final
Voltaj represented Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna with the song "De la capăt / All Over Again". They ended on 15th place in the Eurovision final.


The winner of "Selecţia Naţională" will be honored to represent Romania in the second half of the second Semi-Final on 12th May 2016 in Stockholm. Who should represent Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Sweden?
