Belgium: It's Blanche for Eurovision 2017

On 22nd November 2016 it was confirmed by broadcaster RTBF that Blanche, known in Belgium as Ellie Delavaux, will represent Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kyiv.

Blanche took part in the fith season of The Voice of Belgique in Belgium, where she made it to the semi-final. It's not the first time that Belgium send someone from The Voice to Eurovision. They sent Roberto Bellarosa (ESC 2013, "Love Kills"), Axel Hirsoux (ESC 2014, "Mother") and very successful 2015 Loïc Nottet with "Rhythm Inside". He ended on 4th place in the Eurovision final.

Blanche has co-written her Eurovision entry with singer-songwriter Pierre Dumoulin. News about the song presentation will follow later.

Belgium was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm by Laura Tesoro with the song "What's The Pressure". Laura ended on 10th place in the Eurovision final.

Blanche is honoured to represent Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kyiv. She will participate in one of the Semi-Finals on 9th or 11th May 2017 in Ukraine.
